PRECAUTIONS:

KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.

Can cause substantial but temporary eye injury. Harmful if swallowed, or absorbed through the skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Keep out of the eyes of cattle and sheep. Wash hands after handling product. Do not contaminate feed or food.

Wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, socks, shoes and protective eyewear (goggles or face shield) during loading, application, clean-up and repair.

Cattle Administration

Apply the required amount of solution directly along the top of the back and the top of the head of the animal.
The dosage applied depends on the weight of each animal. The following table shows the correct amount to apply. Note: Due to the small amount of material required, care must be taken to apply the correct dosage.

DO NOT apply more than once every 3 weeks. DO NOT apply more than 3 applications per year. For optimal lice control, an initial application followed by a second treatment 3 weeks later is recommended. Chewing lice (otherwise known as biting lice) (Mallophaga) will usually be eliminated within one week after the first treatment. Sucking lice (Anoplura) may persist on a few animals after the second treatment.

Sheep Administration

For treatment and control of Sheep Biting Lice (Bovicola ovis) and Sheep Keds (Melophagus ovinus), part the fleece and apply 2 mL of solution per 10 Kg body weight to all sheep within a flock directly along the top of the back in multiple locations. CyLence Pour-On Insecticide has been shown to have residual activity against sheep keds protecting sheep from re-infestation for up to 21 days.

DO NOT apply more than once every year. Leave a one-day interval between the last treatment and slaughter. There is no withdrawal time for milk.

500 mL CyLence Pour-On Insecticide: 500 mL is a ready-to-use solution. To use the package dispenser, hold the container upright, remove the cap from the dosage chamber and gently squeeze the sides of the bottle to fill the chamber to the desired dosage. Apply the required amount of solution directly along the top of the back and top of the head of the animal.

3 L CyLence Pour-On Insecticide: 3 L is a ready-to-use solution. An applicator gun can be used with this product size and may be sold separately. Dial the proper dosage on the application gun.  Apply the required amount of solution directly along the top of the back and top of the head of the animal.

FAQ

: Researchers improved on previous generations of pyrethroid compounds, making them longer lasting and more effective against a variety of insects. The 4th generation pyrethroids, like CyLence, have improved effectiveness and duration of activity vs. earlier generations.³
: CyLence has shown to provide up to 100% control of chewing and sucking lice on cattle with up to 8 weeks of residual activity (for optimal lice control repeat 3 weeks after initial application). Chewing lice will usually be eliminated within 1 week.
: Once dry, CyLence remains effective following exposure to rain, cold or sunlight. For best results avoid treating cattle within 4 hours of a heavy rain.
: Once applied, CyLence spreads across the coat of the animal. CyLence affects the nervous system of lice and flies, killing through contact
: Apply CyLence at 1 mL/45 kg of body weight. For example, use 2 mL for animals weighing between 45 and 90 kg, and a maximum of 12 mL for animals weighing 451 kg and above.
: Product colour may vary by batch from light to dark gold and effectiveness is not related to colour.
: CyLence is registered for the control of horn flies and chewing and sucking lice on beef and dairy (including lactating) cattle. Use CyLence in late spring and summer for the control of horn flies and in winter and spring for lice control. Use in sheep when an infestation is confirmed.
: Yes, CyLence can be applied to lactating dairy cattle and it has zero milk withdrawal period.
