DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Read package insert prior to use.
Intramuscular injection into the anterior half of the neck.
DOSE RATE
Cows: Single or repeat doses of 2mL (500 μg Cloprostenol) by intramuscular injection in the anterior half of the neck.
Mares: Up to 400kg bodyweight: 0.5 - 1mL (125 – 250 μg Cloprostenol) by intramuscular injection.
Over 400kg bodyweight: 1 - 2mL (250 – 500 μg Cloprostenol) by intramuscular injection.
Sows: Single dose of 0.7mL (175μg Cloprostenol) by intramuscular injection in the anterior half of the neck within 3 days of expected farrowing date.Do not administer by the intravenous route.
Do not use in pregnant animals when abortion or induced parturition is not the objective. Do not use in mares suffering from acute or subacute disorders of the gastrointestinal or respiratory system.

Milk and Meat: NIL.
Why Choose Ovuprost™?
In the reproductive system, prostaglandins (PGs) play a role in ovulation, luteolysis, gamete transport, uterine motility, expulsion of foetal membranes and sperm transport in both the male and female tracts. PGs are employed in reproductive therapeutics primarily for their potent luteolytic effects.
Ovuprost has been used as part of our research into reproduction programmes over the last 10 years in NZ conditions – helping Elanco develop leading programmes and practices.
Using Ovuprost as part of the ProM8 programme: trial work performed in NZ non-cycling cows has demonstrated a significantly higher conception rate and 6-week in-calf rate comparative to a Prosynch programme. ProM8 utilises an additional Ovuprost injection on Day 8 of the programme, helping achieve complete luteolysis.

Ovuprost™
Ovuprost™ for luteolysis of functional corpora lutea in cows, mares and sows. For use with ProM8, Prosynch and Oestrus synchrony programmes.
ACTIVE CONSTITUENT Each mL contains 250 μg cloprostenol (sodium). It is a functional synthetic analogue of the naturally occurring prostaglandin PGF2α.
