Evaluation of HeifermaX vs. MGA® in Finishing Heifers
A commercial study with 1,370 cross-bred heifers was performed to compare the effects of HeifermaX vs. MGA on performance and carcass characteristics. Research data indicated that both sources of melengestrol acetate – HeifermaX and MGA – resulted in similar feedlot and carcass performance and both sources were effective in controlling estrus activity.1

Indications:
HeifermaX 500: Heifers fed in confinement for slaughter
For increased rate of weight gain, improved feed efficiency and suppression of estrus (heat): Feed 0.5 to 2.0 lb/hd/d in a Type C medicated feed to provide 0.25 to 0.5 mg/hd/d.
HeifermaX 500: Heifers intended for breeding
For suppression of estrus (heat): Thoroughly mix HeifermaX in the supplement to provide 0.5 mg/hd/d of melengestrol acetate.
