Zolvix Plus is a unique combination drench

that contains monepantel, the only member of the amino-acetonitrile derivative or ‘orange’ class of anthelmintics, and abamectin. As short-acting, broad spectrum drenches with different modes of action, monepantel and abamectin are ideal combination partners.

Zolvix Plus controls all economically important roundworms

including adult and immature L4 stages of Barber’s pole worm^, Small brown stomach worm^, Black scour worm, Stomach hair worm, Thin necked intestinal worm, Small intestinal worm, Large mouthed bowel worm and Large bowel worm.

^Includes inhibited L4 stage Haemonchus contortus and Ostertagia (Teladorsagia) spp.

Zolvix Plus delivers >99.9% efficacy

against a broad spectrum of sensitive nematodes.¹ Zolvix Plus is also effective against AAD-sensitive immature (L4) stages of Haemonchus contortus and Teladorsagia circumcincta in sheep where a combination of a macrocyclic lactone and derquantel is less effective.

Zolvix Plus is registered for the control of roundworms

with single, double or triple resistance to macrocyclic lactone (including moxidectin), white, clear and closantel (Haemonchus contortus only) drenches, or their combinations. It is particularly suitable for use if the resistance status is unknown.

Zolvix Plus has an Export Slaughter Interval of 21 days

the lowest of any two-, three- or four-way combination drench containing abamectin. Zolvix Plus delivers premium protection without impacting your management or marketing options.

Dosage and administration

Administer orally at a dose of 1 mL/10 kg body weight using the 8 mL Optiline™ drencher or the 8 mL NJ Phillips Elanco metal drencher.

A Zolvix Plus backpack is also available.

Contraindication

Contra-indicated in lambs under 6 weeks of age or less than 10 kg body weight.

Re-treatment interval

DO NOT re-treat animals for 42 days after last treatment.

Withholding periods

MILK: DO NOT USE in ewes which are producing or may in the future produce milk that may be used or processed for human consumption.
MEAT: DO NOT USE less than 14 days before slaughter for human consumption.
ESI: DO NOT USE less than 21 days before slaughter for export.

Test and monitor drench efficacy regularly
Check wormboss.com.au for local recommendations
Only use ‘fully effective’ drenches
Use combination drenches wherever possible
Only use long-acting products during high worm-risk conditions and in combination with a primer/exit drench
Quarantine drench all introduced/returning sheep with four active ingredients (including monepantel or derquantel)
Incorporate grazing management to create ‘low risk’ pastures

Good agricultural practice is essential for optimal worm control. Resistance may develop to any chemical.
