Larvadex™ 10% Feed Premix

Larvadex™ 10% Feed Premix
Larvadex™ is the foundation of any integrated fly control program in poultry production. It contains 100g/kg cyromazine, a powerful insect growth regulator (IGR) that interferes with chitin metabolism at all three larval stages of the fly, thereby preventing their development into adult flies1. Larvadex is effective against house fly (Musca domestica), lesser house fly (Fannia canicularis), false stable fly (Muscina stabulans) & American soldier fly (Hermetia illucens).
Key Product Benefits:
- Can be used in broiler, breeder and layer flocks
- Controls fly larvae, thereby limiting size of adult populations
- Easy and convenient to administer in the feed
- Does not impact beneficial insects in poultry sheds when used according to label4
- Minimal withholding periods: Zero (0) days for eggs; 3 days for meat

Feed Premix
Why Choose Larvadex™?
Larvadex is added to poultry feed and fed normally in the shed. After metabolism, the active ingredient is left behind in the poultry manure, where it works to disrupt the development of larvae present in the manure1-3. With fewer flies hatching, the fly population is controlled at its source, reducing the need for chemical adulticide treatments later in the season.

Can be used in broilers, breeders and layers

Limits size of adult fly population

In-feed addition
Larvadex stops fly larvae from developing, thereby preventing the fly population from increasing.
Larvadex™ Important Information
Larvadex™ is the ideal larvicidal product to use strategically with chemical adulticide products in an effective fly control program for your poultry operation. Always read and follow the label directions.
Dosage and Administration
Mix 50 g of Larvadex per tonne of poultry feed. Do not add Larvadex directly to feed. To ensure homogeneous incorporation, thoroughly mix one part of Larvadex to nine parts (by weight) of poultry feed and incorporate 500 g of this 1% premix into a tonne of feed. Commence treatment when fly activity is noticed. Continue for 4 – 6 weeks or until fly population is under control. Repeat when flies re-establish themselves.
Withholding Periods
MEAT: REMOVE ALL MEDICATED FEED 3 days before slaughter for human consumption. EGGS: Zero (O) days
If manure from poultry fed LARVADEX is applied to land that is used for growing food crops, particularly grain, finite crop residues may occur. To avoid illegal residues:
- DO NOT apply manure to soil at rates > 4 dry tonnes/ha/year.
- If supplying manure to a third party, ensure that they are made aware of this restraint.
