Copperplan 20 Copper Capsules are for the treatment and prevention of copper deficiency in beef and dairy adult cattle. Copper is an essential trace mineral that has a primary physiological function in a broad range of enzymes in the body. It has an important role in iron and connective tissue metabolism, blood cell development, and maintenance of the integrity of the nervous and immune systems.

Copperplan 20 contains copper oxide particles enclosed in a gelatine capsule. Once administered, the particles are slowly absorbed by the animal to prevent and treat copper deficiency for 12 months in adult cattle. When deficient, cattle can have ill-thrift, faded or rough coats, lameness, reduced growth, poor fertility, and increased susceptibility to parasites.

Dosage and Administration
For adult cattle over 200kg, use 1 capsule per head annually, administered orally using a Copperplan applicator.
Dose cows early in pregnancy to allow protection of young calves against copper deficiency.
Do not use in calves less than 200kg (under 1 year old). Excessive copper is toxic. Users should determine their livestock’s copper status by consulting their animal health advisor or veterinarian before using this product.
