Selovin LA Injection is a long-acting selenium supplementation for cattle and sheep. Selenium is a trace element that is vital for normal metabolism; it is an essential antioxidant that prevents and repairs cell damage, and plays a role in muscle and immune function, and the synthesis of thyroid hormones. Selovin LA works to elevate selenium blood and tissue levels in deficient states.

Selovin™ LA Important Information

Find the information you need to incorporate Selovin LA into your livestock management program to optimise the productivity of your business. Good nutrition is good business.

Dosage and Administration

Cattle: 1mL/50kg body weight 

Lambs at weaning: 0.5mL 

Adult sheep: 1mL 

Administer by subcutaneous injection high on the neck behind the ear. Take care to inject Selovin LA under the skin to avoid carcass damage. DO NOT use by intramuscular injection. 

Users should determine their livestock’s selenium status by consulting their animal health advisor or veterinarian before using this product. 

Always read and follow label directions.

Withholding Periods

MEAT: Zero (0) days 

MILK:  

Cattle: Zero (0) days 

Sheep: DO NOT USE in ewes where milk may be used or processed for human consumption.  

Export Slaughter Interval (ESI): Not required when SELOVIN LA is used as directed (subcutaneous injection), as visible injection site deposits are trimmed from the carcass at slaughter.
