What is the Zolvix Plus Challenge?

There is widespread resistance to all older active ingredients, including moxidectin and two-, three- and four-way combinations.¹ Any reduction in drench efficacy has a direct impact on the health and productivity of your sheep throughout the year. Even a mild or moderate reduction in drench efficacy can reduce potential income by 2-10%.² That’s why we’ve created the Zolvix Plus Challenge – if you don’t know the resistance status of the worm population on your farm, you can take steps to find out this season by completing a free DrenchCheck worth $282 as part of the Zolvix Plus Challenge.
How does the Zolvix Plus Challenge work?

Register below before your next Drench. Your local Elanco Territory Manager will then get in touch to discuss your program and explain how to conduct a DrenchCheck.
You’ll receive two Elanco Worm Test kits, each with sample jars, gloves, forms, and a pre-paid Express Post bag.
- Use the first kit to collect samples before drenching.
- Use the second kit to collect samples 10–14 days after drenching.
Send each kit following collection to the lab using the included bags. Once results are in, your Elanco Territory Manager will review them with you and provide recommendations on how to maintain or increase the effectiveness of your drenching program.
What is DrenchCheck?

A DrenchCheck is a simple way to indicate the efficacy of your existing drench against the worm burden in your sheep at the time of testing. A DrenchCheck involves conducting two Worm Egg Count (WEC) tests to determine the reduction in the worm egg count after drenching. The first test is conducted before drenching. The second test is conducted 10-14 days after drenching.
