Trusted and flexible blowfly prevention from the CLiK™ range

Blowfly strike is common – and hits fast and hard, compromising animal welfare and flock performance. Changes in weather patterns mean that the blowfly season is becoming longer and more unpredictable. The risk period in some areas now extends from March through to November, meaning early, extended blowfly control, and selecting the right product to cover your flock, is essential.

The CLiK™ portfolio of products, made up of CLiK™ EXTRA, CLiK™ and CLiKZiN™, deliver flexible protection for every farm through:

  • Blowfly that causes blowfly strike in sheep
    Targeted blowfly control

CLiK products contain dicyclanil, an insect growth regulator (IGR), which disrupts the blowfly lifecycle

  • Blowfly larva
    Narrow spectrum action

CLiK works solely to prevent development of the damaging 2nd and 3rd stage larvae (maggots) ensuring narrow spectrum action as recommended by industry

  • CLiK Fleecebind
    FleeceBind™ technology

The only products with FleeceBind technology for full fleece protection*

FleeceBind – it’s what makes CLiK stick

Blowfly prevention is ineffective if it washes off in the first rainfall after application. With FleeceBind technology, CLiK grows with the fleece, giving confidence that early application delivers lasting blowfly protection whilst also helping to limit fly pressure as the season progresses.

    Delivers full fleece, consistent protection

FleeceBind spreads from tip to base of fleece, around the animal and onto new wool growth*

  • FleeceBind icon
    Resistance to washout

FleeceBind binds the formulation strongly in place and sticks to the wool even if applied to damp fleece

  • FleeceBind icon
Protection which grows with the animal

Early application to lambs reduces the cost of extended protection; a lower dose volume means more doses per pack

Applying CLiK products and calibrating the applicator gun

Correct application makes the most of the CLiK range: duration of cover depends on the correct application. This animation shows how to apply CLiK products using the four stroke technique:

Care must be taken to prevent animals from rubbing and removing the product, as this will almost certainly reduce the duration of protection.
